VISSTA XIII
report
The 13th edition of VISSTA (Veneto international schools sports association) took place at EISP on Wednesday 18th October.
Schools present were I.S.Venice, EIS Vicenza, Rosà, H-school Treviso and of course EISP.
The day was a success especially for I.S.Venice, even though the dark grey sky lasted the entire morning.
They have been attending for five years now and have been the least successful school, but this all changed at VISSTA XIII with victory over Vicenza, Rosà in boys’ football and over EISP in girls’ basketball, hosted by EISP primary school.
Vicenza won girls football and volleyball, H-school won boys’ basketball and EISP won the tug ‘O’ war battle.
VISSTA is a much anticipated event now in the middle school calendar and it is hoped a high school event can be developed as well.
Thursday 19th saw a high school visit by St Stephen’s school Rome and H-school to play EISP in boys’ and girls’ volleyball matches. The day was won by St Stephen’s Rome over EISP in second by the narrowest of margins.
A great day, organised and planned by G Cotier but all preparation of EISP teams was achieved by maths teachers Miss Sokoli and Mr Arienti. Thank you very much to them for all their lunchtimes sacrificed.
